My recent paintings have used a variety of techniques for layering. For this one, I painted a spectrum of color on a 12x12 canvas with acrylic paint. After it dried, I loosely applied 3 strips of masking tape and then poured a complementary spectrum of acrylic paint mixed with Golden's GAC 800. Once the tape was removed, and the paint dried, this was the result.
GAC 800 (mixed 4 to 1 with acrylic paint) is my preferred medium when pouring paint.
